After concluding my studies at Stellenbosch University, I completed my community service year at Emmaus Hospital in the Drakensberg. In private practice in Stellenbosch, I advised clients struggling with a wide range of nutritional issues including eating disorders and disordered eating. Subsequently I worked at New Somerset Hospital and Groote Schuur Hospital as Chief Dietitian where I was responsible for the nutritional management of the specialized neonatal unit, metabolic diseases, and paediatric and adolescent eating disorders. I recently founded and headed Nutritional Nurturing, a company that consults on nutritional matters for children and young people. I recently completed my Intuitive Eating course and guide clients on healing their relationship with food and finding food freedom.
