I obtained my BA Psychology, Honours in Psychology and Masters in Clinical Psychology at WITS University. I completed my internship as well as community service years in the public sector; working individually with children, adolescents and adults. I also facilitated groups in an inpatient and outpatient setting and conducted various psychological assessments.
While my therapy approach is to use an integrative tailored model to suit my client’s needs, I enjoy working from an Insight Oriented approach which facilitates a deeper understanding of oneself through making links between past and present experiences, thoughts, beliefs and emotions.
Furthermore, I also enjoy making use of the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) approach in further assisting my clients with managing overwhelming emotions in a more productive manner.
My areas of interest include group and individual therapy with adults, couples and family therapy, mother-child work in the postpartum period and psychological assessments.
