I am an energetic and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist, who graduated with a BSc OT in 2017, from the University of Cape Town. I am trained in the basic foundations of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and have experience with a wide range of physical and mental illnesses. I value a holistic approach to care and aim to be compassionate, patient and amiable in my therapy. I believe in creating a therapy space where the client and therapist exist as partners and the client strongly directs their desired outcomes while I facilitate that process.
I am also always seeking to contribute to social change and empowered individuals as well as challenging the misconceptions about mental illness. I strongly believe in lifelong learning and the willingness to continue improving ourselves.
I am passionate about people, attempt to deeply understand them and consider positive, healthy relationships imperative to successful therapy and healing.
Outside of work I am pursuing a master’s degree researching culturally appropriate mental health and reading tons of novels!
